Berit Enge is the founder and director of the Nordic Press Center in Washington, DC. She started her career as a journalist working for regional and national newspapers in Norway. Later, she pursued a career as a diplomat serving at posts in Tokyo, Washington DC, and New York. She has been a speechwriter for two Norwegian ministers and has worked on political campaigns in Japan and the US.
Born in Sørfold, Northern Norway, she holds degrees in political science, international affairs, and Japanese from the University of Oslo, Norway, the University of Sussex, UK, and Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC. She lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
